What's the conversation about?

First, define the word cheating, it is not just sleeping with someone, its the act of denying something, either physically, emotionally, or financially from ones family to another who would not normally be entitled to the object or emotion in the first place. so now you answer your own question. But if it were me, it would depend on the person they were talking to, the nature of the call, the length and subject matter they were discussing.

that depends. my hubby was having an emotional affair with a woman for at least 4 months. they only talked on the phone. but it was every day, at least 5 times a day, even on holidays. that to me is cheating. when they are putting that other person ahead of your needs or the needs of your family, it's cheating. i also believe that people who are married or in a committed relationship have no need to find new friends of the opposite sex unless they are looking for something more.

If he is hiding it, then it is cheating. Talking on the phone and or internet is cheating. You create an emotional bond. A lot stronger bond then if you just have a quickie in the back seat of a car or a cheap motel.

If you are in a committed fulfilling relationship there should be no reason for you to seek out an other. I think if need to go outside of you relationship to feel good then you are with the wrong person. Be honest with yourself and be happy. Don't waste time- be with somebody that fulfills your every need. Life is toooo short. Good luck!

It depends on who it was. It's not 'cheating' per say but it is dishonesty if you're talking to an ex that you'd like to get back together with... so on etc... It could eventually lead to cheating and it's very unfair to your partner.

what are they talking about?

I have male friends I speak to on the phone, or in classes. I dont consider it cheating, my husband knows who they are, talks to them, everyone i talk to knows im married, and most of them are married too. Youre question is very open, with out more details its hard to know exactly what kind of talking you mean.

It depends on the conversations, are they things your
partner(s) don't know about? If it's a conversation that you wouldn't have in front of YSO, then you shouldn't be having the conversation.

That's why relationships fail, becasue people are so busy talking to other people outside of the relationship.

if ur other half is talking on the phone in front of u than it is ok. but if they only talk to the person while ur not around or if they leave the room to talk then that is a problem. also do u know the other person??
