Someone in here dared to speak out about abortion, and now her account is suspended. I thought liberals were open minded and "honored" other opinions inspite of not agreeing with them........????

No, her post wasn't violent or insulting in the least. She was simply stating that women often suffer long-term emotional turmoil from having abortions

God bless wonderful people like Giraffe Girl do wonderful things to help women who are having an unplanned pregnancy and are in crises. I give money to the Crises Pregnancy Center here in town, but I don't feel qualified to help counsel.

I guess people who say Christians should adopt all the children who are unwanted also think Christians should care for people who are considering robbing a store to have cash for their family.

I am pro-life. Abortion DOES harm women. There are long term emotional scars and many times physical ones as well. My sources are the women who regret the decision they made because they were not allowed to consider other options at that particular time in their life.
If stating these facts gets me suspended then suspend away! I have read far more vile and disgusting ideas shared on here.

For those who say I should "do"something to help - I spent time at a crisis pregnancy center just yesterday and saw the sheer joy on a woman's face who is about to give birth to a child that months ago she considered murdering. She has been through counselling on whether or not to keep or give up the baby for adoption. Having made her choice she has been attending parenting classes and earning points to "purchase" baby items from the "store" they make available to their clients.

We DO help them unlike the clinics that chop the baby up, suck it out and then send the would have been mother home to deal with the healing and emotions on their own!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The mothers (and Dads) who come through this help center have help for as long as they need it and the world is a better place because of it.

There is a very small percentage of whackos who think it is okay to harm an anti-life doctor or clinic. I am pro-life and the thought of bombing a clinic or harming a pro-abortion doctor has never crossed my mind. Instead I pray for them to have a change of heart.

I dont understand that either. I hate the thought of abortion, but I also know that most of the aborted babies, if their mothers had been forced to give birth, would end up in dumpsters or worse yet, abused by anybody and everyone. If woman says she doesnt want or cant care for her baby, she probably means it. I think that if someone is pro-life, then they ought to be prepared to provide for the babies that are born to mothers who will dump them as soon as they give birth anyways. One thing that always puzzled me to no end. How is it that pro-lifers find it ok to kill the doctors and pregnant women?? I find that very hyprocritical and I could never figure it out. I have friends who are pro-lifers and they cant give me an answer either, not one that makes sense anyway. Well, at any rate, I dont believe anyone ought to have their account cancelled because they express an opinion, that is what this is all about, people coming together and sharing their views and their knowledge on yahoo answers! As long as it is done in a calm, reasonable and non-antagonistic fashion, it should be allowed!

Your statement is wrong. You are going to lump all liberals together? Why? Should we lump all conservatives together?

I don't know what happened here. But I'm a liberal and I'm open to others' points of views. I support abortion reluctantly. I know the history. Women have died over it. My mother had an abortion. It was not easy decision for her to make. It's not something she wanted to do. When are pro lifers going to step in and help women?
No one wants abortions. But women are going to get them and I'd rather they be legal. Go back to Roe vs. Wade.
The best way to reduce the number is to educate and have programs to help women. Hold men accountable.
What do you think will happen if we outlaw abortions? Are you prepared to deal with the consequences? I'm not.
I will never have an abortion but I know other women are not as fortunate as I am. I will not judge them. (not on an issue like this.)

A lot of people speak out against abortion here. I have seen no evidence of any of them being suspended because of it. Perhaps the person posted in a derogatory or insulting manner. Many of the anti-abortion zealots on Yahoo do that.

Abortion is murder. Everyone knows that. And judgment will come on the USA for having had this evil evil holocaust. Please pray with me that God Almighty will avert the judgment until after the Rapture of the Church.

Probably because she got crazy and violent, as many anti-abortion people are. Being an irrational (that is, faith-based ) point of view, it is susceptible to religious fanaticism....you know, like flying planes into buildings.

Anti-abortion people want to actually punish women and make them suffer, so there's an underlying punitive quality about everything they say and do.

And even deeper, a rage fueled by sexual envy.
