My husband says that me and Jessica are not allowed to pick up male hitchhikers (unless they are a relative ofcourse) and says if we are together we can pick up female hitchhikers but if lets say one of us was driving alone we'd have to call and ask him if it was okay. I think this is a good rule for us and makes me feel like he loves us.

It's probably not a smart or safe thing to do. Although I did it a few years back and I said I wouldn't do it again. The poor guy got on my nerves so bad, he didn't shut up the whole way, he just talked and talked and talked. But, I guess it could have been worse. Good luck. 2D

No - do not do it at all. There are bad dangerous men out there and some women are like that as well. Unless you are with Hubby or another male do not even pick up a women, tell (your daughter?)Jessica the same and remember you need to protect her (if she's your daughter or a younger person) and picking up hitchhikers is not doing that is it now.

My goodness, did you really need your husband to tell you that picking up strange men that are wandering on the side of the road is not a good or safe thing to do??
I apologize if you actually have some sort of impairment that prevents you from making good sound decisions as an adult, then it's good that you have your hubby to help guide you.
Why you would even consider picking up ANY hitchhiker, male or female, is beyond my capabilities of understanding. And to take that a step further, you're not only CONSIDERING it, but you're bothering your husband (or anyone) with a phone call to ask permission to place yourself and your passenger(s) in danger....

It is not a safe or wise idea to pick-up ANY hitchhikers. In these times, you never know who the weird ones are.

Oh sure there's nothing wrong with it at all. It's not like there are any mean people in the world just waiting for some vulnerable, nice woman to pick them up so they can abduct, ravage, rape, and kill you, leaving you in the ditch or something.

I think its a good idea not to pick up hichhikers, but you dont have to call him and ask him if its ok. He's not your dad. Use your own brain and think for yourself.
