Well since you said actor and not actress. *cough cough* I don't see why people are giving you actress names.
It's hard to give you just one name... But I'm going to say Jim Carrey because he is a powerful dramatic, as well as, hilarious comedic actor.

Simply has to be Jack Nicholson especially in the movies where he is expected to be slightly "off the wall" One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest is a fine example. He has an dark air about him and those eyes can be so evil. Perhaps even the Devil personified.
