Normaly the chosen names for babies are not contested, naming your daughter Canada, shouldn't be a problem, however remember, a name stays with a child through life.

You can name your child pretty much anything. But be practical. No professional woman is going to get promoted if her name is Peaches or Montreal.

I believe that you can name a child anything so long as it does not contain numbers or symbols or is not a term that is generally considered obscene.
That is my understanding in MN
The question you ought to ask is : Will my child like me

I like Canada. go with that one.
Even if it was illegal, I would name my child whatever name I want! No man should have the ability to limit a person from naming their children.

Sure, it is legal. But remember what you name them, sticks with them for life.
