she is not born yet but i have decided to name her canada, or moreal, so is this legal????????

Is there some reason why it wouldnt be, plenty of people are named after places

on second thought, maybe you should rethink having kids until you have finished school

Normaly the chosen names for babies are not contested, naming your daughter Canada, shouldn't be a problem, however remember, a name stays with a child through life.

You can name your child pretty much anything. But be practical. No professional woman is going to get promoted if her name is Peaches or Montreal.

No its not against the law to name you child after a city a state, town, or country.

I believe that you can name a child anything so long as it does not contain numbers or symbols or is not a term that is generally considered obscene.

That is my understanding in MN

I like Canada. go with that one.

Even if it was illegal, I would name my child whatever name I want! No man should have the ability to limit a person from naming their children.

Sure, it is legal. But remember what you name them, sticks with them for life.
