I think so!
Go Yankees!
Just think after this year if Sox win they only need 19 more to catch the Yankees! The greatest team ever!

Blueberries how can you talk about reign being over? Does 86 years ring a bell?

Its funny how defensive the Sox fans get. I guess 1 maybe 2 (this year) championships in 90 years is alot better then all the championships the Yankees have the last 90 years!

Well put, good man!
No one with any intelligence roots for teams named after underwear. Sox fans are total *********.

.....And to that idiot Brent who posted that the Yankees were the worst team between '78 and '96--the Yankees had the BEST winning percentage in the '80s, so stick that in your *** to keep your head company!

I agree that the AL East is the problem, with the EXCEPTION of Toronto, Baltimore, & Tampa Bay... hmm funny who that leaves left.

I still think it's funny that Yankees fans try to call out people for stuff that there fans are known for, even though the Red Sox are getting to be the next Evil Empire since the Yanks reign is done, they still have slightly better fans.

As much as I don't like trash talk, some Yankees fans deserve it from Red Sox fans in this case it seems.

Typical Yankee fan, thinking he is so much better than everyone else. Are you still gonna use the 26 rings excuse in 20 years. When the Red Sox finish off the Rocks, that means in the last 5 years: Sox-2 Yanks-0. Last 10 years: Sox-2 Yanks-1. Face it, your reign is over, you haven't won a Series in 8 years now even with a lineup that will be knwon as one of the most talented ever with a payroll not even close to any other team. Thats just a shame. And Mattingly is only gonna make it much, much worse. Sorry for my math mistake natedewey, are you just mad becuase your done being the best team in the league...AL East...New York

ya i'm a boston fan i have been my wohle life and im getting sick of these fans who come outta nowhere at the last second when the sox make the playoffs and WIN THE DIVISION, but cant name half the line-up. And then theres the fans who have become red sox fans over the last few years and know nothing of what its like to suffer through the bad years. these people make me sick. all they want is to root for a team that can will win most of the time. reason why yankees fans have sucked for so long.....they'll see in the next few years when they suck

If it is, its just a backlash to the gross inequality wrought upon baseball by the Yankees.

The lack of equality wrought by baseball's lack of a salary cap causes the casual fan to be bored of it. Rooting for the underdog is an American tradition, and the Yankees and their gargantuan payroll symbolize for many "the Man" or the big corporate monster that we have all culturally learned to root against.

Being that the Red Sox are purported as the Yankees' nemesis, a large group feels an affinity towards them, espcially in the light of the recently intensified competition between them.

Why are you Yankees fans such @sses?? Why can't us Sox fans just be proud to have our team finally win a few?

I'll agree that we sucked in the past...but the team always had their fans support. I went to MANY games when they did nothing but lose.

Doesn't matter...we're proud of our team. And we'll continue to be proud of our team. To us...yes...the Sox are the greatest team ever...because they are OUR team.

Go Rockies. Even after the blowout the Rocks will stage one of the most improbable comebacks in Major League history.

The Yanks are primed for a repeat of the 1978 to 1996 era. When they were, quite frankly, known as one of the worst teams in baseball.

TO INSPECTOR BONEHEAD... ONE OF THE BEST WINNING % OF THE '80'S? THAT IS QUESTIONABLE. I DO KNOW THIS. THAT PERIOD OF TIME TIME THEY WON NO CHAMPIONSHIPS AFTER 1978 AND THEY ALREADY HAVE A 7 YEAR START ON THEIR NEXT PERIOD OF WASTEFUL SPENDING WITH NO TITLES! STICK THAT UP YOUR HOLE!!!!
