Define "freedom".

To us as a couple, being accountable and always trustworthy in all we do is freedom. Allowing each other to know what we're doing and where we are going is Freedom. That is not controlling, it is admirable, loving and that is truly "freedom"...

Freedom from suspicion, freedom from guilt, freedom from temptation, freedom from separation and divorce.

You may want to redefine "freedom". Sounds more like "independence" from your partner. Not healthy.

He is controlling in some ways, like about my spending, I tend to shop a lot lol (but with that he is even pretty cool about it as long as the bills are paid). But when it comes to my being able to go out and enjoy time with my family and/or friends he has no problems and he lets me be who I am. When we got married we married the person we met. I think controlling someone too much means that the spouse/partner is trying to change that person.

My husband is not controlling me and I can not say I have lots of freedom because when I got married, I know the important decisions in my life is not for me alone to decide. After marriage, I understand I share my life with my husband and we agree on every project we do and anything we plan to do in the future.

She gives me lots and lots of freedom..and again, I make sure that I give her the same treatment. There is a fine line where I understand what I can and can't do though. If I know she might not approve of something, I'll ask her. It's not that I whooped, it's that we respect eachother and have an open communitcation between us.

My husband gives me the royal treatment even when I'm a bit**. He lets me be, do, or have anything I want. I'm truly grateful to finally have married the right man! And I never thought it could happen since I usually chose controllers in the past.

I have all the freedom I want. If he was controlling we wouldn't be together. It's a marriage, not a prison sentence.

I wouldn't get involved with someone who thought they had any right to control me. I'm an independent adult and long out of my parent's home.

A relationship to me is a partnership, not one person trying to dominate over the other.

This is the second marriage for both of us and there is no way my husband woud even think about controlling me or me controlling him. Just because you marry someone does not mean you own them.
