This is because animals aren't as deaf mute as humans. The don't look at each other and put on clothes to hide their weaknesses, they having nothing to run from. Animals just are. Humans try to be something. This trying to be is why humanity is such a disaster. Clothes can be seen as some sort of progress in terms of warmth and protection. Still if humankind would have never wore clothes we would have either physically adapted in some way or died off. In the end, trying to be something and running from your weaknesses will only lead to "pain," humanity can't even look at itself naked in the mirror.

Evolution provided us with a brain because our bodies are not designed to survive. We walk upright which exposes our genitals and vital organs,we have no fur so we either create artificial fur or freeze/bruise.We are totally helpless for the first 10-30 years of life(depending on who your parents are)and we are slow and weak by comparison to most species.
We evolved with a brain to manufacture these things while animals are born with them.It was learn or die.Create or perish.

Some animals have fur.

Some people wear fur coats.

I guess fur can be their clothes.

On a side note, my sister dresses her dogs up in embarrassing clothes.

Human beings are the most intelligent of all living creation. With the ability to understand, plan and execute. We know right from wrong (most of the times:) ). Since way back in the garden of Eden, when Adam and Eve disobeyed God, their eyes became open (in the sense that they now realized their nakedness) and they were clothed. Since then we wear clothing in a matter of privacy and protection.

Animals on the other hand operate by instinct. They do not know right from wrong. Neither do they possess the ability to realize their nakedness. However, they are protected naturally by their skin and body hair.

Animals do, it's called fur. :-) We wear clothes because we need to. We're too physically fragile of a species to get by without clothes, especially in colder climates.

We think that we are above the animals.

We cover ourselves in a dress or suit

We don't see the animal underneath.

We imagine we are spirits.
