I'm afraid it is a case of denial. The Rockies could not pitch or hit and their usually stellar defense was not. I think they are a lot better than that and I hope the Rockies win. The Sox will have some challenges at Coors with the DH situation, the altitude and the expansive outfield. I still predict this series will go 6 or 7 games. Go Rockies!!

ya know someone said the today to me about the red sox in there series with cleveland to keep the rockies on a break for longer. umm ya i dont think either manager would be dumb enough to do that. it be like picking when ur goin win and when ur not. how many teams want to try and win 4 out of 6 games instead of 4 out of 7. you might be in denial, but don't worry i think the rockies will play better then they did last night and give the sox a battle for a few games

Yep, that's a bad case of denial. No team with any self-respect would intentionally allow themselves to be slaughtered the way the Rockies were last night, especially considering the majority of the runs were scored when there were 2 outs, and nobody on, yet the Sox managed to keep loading the bases and bring in one run after another.

LOL i tell ya it wouldnt be a bad strategy at all to steal home field advantage, i know it sounds stupid, but think about it, they come out nxt game heavy underdogs, underestimated, the sox overconfident... the rockies from the start blow game2 wide open with their heavy bats and goes on to winning it big ....
what happens next? a big momentum shift heading into a rocking crowd who has never been to a WS... the sox's confidence is shot ... the ROCKS sweep their home stand becoming the 2007 champs.... how great would that be.... nice scheme

You guys have a great team and I respect your dedication to your team...unfortunately I don't think anyone would lose on purpose. ....especially to the red sox. The red sox had lot of great at-bats...the rockies just didn't play to well last night ...hopefully tonight's game will be a little more exciting.
GO SOX!

Yes, you're undoubtedly in denial.
I'm sure the Rockies aren't too concerned given that it's only one game in a seven-game series, but there's no way they'd lose on purpose with their ace on the mound. They may have looked relaxed, but I'm sure they won't feel the same if they're beaten in the second game.

yeah that is some serious denial. No team would purposely lose a game in the world series. That is just dumb

uhh yeah.... a team in the world series would lose the first game on purpose... because each game isn't individually important at all and they can risk to lose one on purpose
the rockies are good, but they aren't good enough to be losing games in the world series on purpose! come on now!

Yeah, and the YANKEES intentionally let the RED SOX come back from 3-0 in the 2004 ALCS just to make it interesting too.
