What is written on Romeo's ring? From Romeo and Juliet?

My fiancee has mentioned that he wants a plain ring with the words that are written on Romeo's ring from Romeo and Juliet.... but I have NO idea what it says... I was going to get a ring engraved for him but I need to know what it says first!! :)

Well, I found this:

"First we see a close up of Romeo and Juliet kissing in the lift, police on streets during the mutiny, and a close-up of the lovers' ring with the words "I love thee" inscribed around its base."

"After Romeo kills Tybalt, the priest hides him and the nurse visits him in hiding with a message and a ring from Juliet. This is no more than a few hours after the killing, and the ring is inscribed with "I love thee" on the inside. When would she have had time to get that done? Especially when she's not allowed to leave the house except to go to church? [Juliet is rich, and as such she can always pay someone to do a quick engraving. but that's in a movie. In the play, Shakespeare never says what, if anything, is inscribed on the ring.


But considering how Romeo died, maybe it should have read:

"Just Say No."
