He searches out and actually does (for as long as he can stand it) some of the dirtiest jobs in the US. I'm not sure they could pay me enough to do his job. I guess the point is, somebody has to do every nasty, dirty job there is to be done and we should appreciate the fact that someone does it so we don't have to. Are there any dirty jobs you just couldn't do?

We have been fans ever since it started and Love him and the show. He is great fun and would not do anything he has to do without a very very big paycheck. Hope he is well paid . that one with all the snakes biting him still gives me nightmares.

My husband watches him on a regular basis. It seems everytime I decide to take a look , the're in Alaska on those dangerous boats ,hauling in giant crabs. Mike Rowe has also done a lot of narrating on documentaries because he has such a good voice.
A few summers ago , the neighbours down the street were complaining about a horrible smell in the greenbelt behind our houses, so my hubby went exploring and under the road where a stream runs, somone had butchered a deer and left parts of the carcass. We called the city and they sent out a young girl from animal control to clean it up. After she was done my husband went up to check it out and said the poor girl cleaned it up but was obviously very sick. I could never do anything like that.

Yes! I watch that show every week. The man is drop-dead gorgeous( hey, I'm old, not dead!)
I don't think I could do any of those jobs. We have no idea all the gross things that need to be done for our comfort and safety.
I agree with GW. Pushin'Daisies is the most unique concept I've seen in a long time. Really cute show, but, whenever I like something, they take it off.
lol

Yes, I love his show and watch it regularly. He was here in Charleston doing a show on shrimping and the men who go through the plough mud getting oysters.

I couldn't do his job either, something about some of those odors would have me retching before I actually got to the places. LOL

We have this in Oz. And he is amazing. I guess you have to do them when they are needed to be done, even though you don't like it much. I'm not mad about garbage disposal. But I have had to clean the dirtiest toilets, and you just put your head down and do it. He is wonderful because he does it all the time.

Yes, hilarious show! And Mike is a hottie for sure! (Same age as me, but I'm not single! lol!) If the dirty job included a horrible smell along with it, which alot of them do, then it would be out of the question for me.

Good show. I couldn't do most of them (especially stuff like sexing chicks and getting fresh cow manure for testing). I also couldn't do things like:

Nuclear Warhead Sensitivity Technician
Roadkill Removal Crew (ew)

or the worst one of all:

Assistant to the Boss's Nephew (shudder)

Haven't seen this one...but I will tell you the best new program on TV is on Wed nights, 8PM Pac. Time...PUSHIN DAISEYS...funniest plot lines ever...and really original. Love that show. Finally, something to watch other than reruns of Law and Order! Dancing with the Stars is getting old fast. Love and peace, Goldwing

Yeah, it is an entertaining show, and some of the stuff is rather gross to modern society, but those of us who grew up on farms don't find a lot of it unusual. Our pampered butts are getting too removed from real life, apparently.

Yes I watch his show, he is one fine looking man. I wouldn't mind doing any of the jobs that he does, except for the ones that you have to be strong to do. There is not much that I won't do. Even the stinky jobs.
