1. We were pretty poor and my mom once made brownies that got too hard. In order to salvage them, she made hot custard and poured it over broken brownie bits. It was so delicious it became a favorite in our family.
2. Since I'm an Anglophile, I absolutely love plum pudding with Byrds Custard.

Well I think it's the other way around you pour something on custard.
I guess mango or another exotic fruit would be great!
