My bedroom must be tidy, my office at the moment looks like two cats have had a fight in it. Where does that leave me.! You know if you believed in all this, you would lock yourself in the cupboard, and never come out. good question. But don't you think these people are trying to jump on any bus they can, to be noticed, and put forward theories. Seriously, things like this can have a negative influence, especially on young people. I'm not having a personal "go" at you, just commenting.

As someone who has been in sales for years, THE BEST sales people, have the messiest desks, because they are always out of the office, "selling" and doing what they are supposed to do. Not shifting papers around their desks.

Man, I hope it says I'm a really great guy or something, because my office is a total mess and my bedroom's not much better.

I honestly have never seen the entire top of my desk. There's stuff on the desk I inherited from the last guy, and I still haven't gotten down that far.

There's a line of boxes against the wall that have mystery contents. I inherited those too, and I've never looked in them. I assume that when I do, I'll find all kinds of incredibly useful and valuable things that I could have used two years ago.

At least my bedroom is all my mess. Most of it is just clothes (there's a clean clothes pile, and on the other side of the room is the dirty clothes pile), but there's also several boxes and bins that were just put down 'temporarily' when I moved in... ten months ago.

Desk has lots of items that show my creativity, love of Art, and some miniatures I collect.
Have a large desk, all mine but my work area is cleaned up every day.
Even though my husband tries to defeat the purpose by throwing receipts, mail and magazines on the clean spot.
Shredder sits under the desk-husband says it's my favorite obsession-shredding junk mail.
My problem is clutter, even though I donate stuff all the time, am still finding lots to get rid of that I held onto for too long. Many things belonged to all the children when they moved out.
Is difficult getting them to take their possessions, so husband gives them a date to pick up by- or he donates the stuff.
Since we started doing this, the garage has emptied quick.
Don't want a maid- would be an intrusion.
Am learning to clean up one room a day. That seems to work for me!

I used to keep things much less cluttered when I was younger. Now I have pictures and projects and things I like, around me. It's more personalized now. I agree though, some of it may have to do with the time I spend on Y/A. lol

I must admit I am a neat freak. And my husband is the king of clutter and procrastination. His suit will be on the floor in a ball and be late for his own funeral when it is his time. It drives me crazy but I have learned to turn a blind eye and clean my side of the bedroom and closet only. it works for us.

Call home a 2 story condo.

Attempt to keep downstairs neat and tidy most of the time, but upstairs is my private territory and I made the mess and must start cleaning and organizing there.

I guess I'm as disorganized as the next person. You should
see my office/knitting/workroom/studio. It says that I have better things to do than tidy things up. Oddly enough, I know where everything is. Paper is my bugaboo. There are piles of it all over the house, photographs, bank statements, notices, mail, projects, etc. It gets overwhelming.

Not a neat freak but not a slob either. Home office is neat. Hubby and I share it and he is very organized. Foyer office is so-so. All the family uses that office. I did have the kids dust it and return all the childrens books to the proper shelves.

Office is neat...have no choice since I have a 'CORRECT' boss...lol

My old office ? Desk was neat.....but floor had piles of 'NEED FILING" papers!

My bedroom? - it's neat...at least right now....but then I spend most of the time in the evenings in the living room or sunroom [where the PC is] and usually fall asleep on the couch! LOL
