Kaboom!!!!! Seriously it's the best stuff ever. Bought it at home depot. LOVE IT! You spray it all over the place let it set for a few minutes and then u scrub off the gunk. My old roommate how believed in only cleaning his bathroom once a year would use it and you would have never guessed he was the digusting pig he actually was LOL

Try spraying it down with 409 Spray and let it sit for about 10 minutes, use a scrub brush and scrub it good. Rinse it. If that doesn't work the Mr. Clean Eraser. It is easy to over scour a tub and remove the outer enamel making it very easy to stain up. Some scouring powders are way too abrasive to use, we had that problem where I worked and it ruined a bunch of bathtubs.

I use The Works for my boys bathtub. I put the solution in a spray bottle, I plug the tub, spray and let the solution soak for 10 minutes and wipe clean.. Make sure when using The Works have the fan on. What ever you do don't mix with any other cleaners.....

Congratulations to all of you who have been able to use COmet, Ajax, Kaboom Soft Scrub and The Works!!! Now, if all of that fails like it did when I cleaned my now husband (then fiance's) bathrooms, You have to go for the never failing stuff called Bleach White, sold at Walmart in the automotive department. USE GLOVES! You have to open the windows - the fumes are so bad but if you have to get rid of stains - this stuff with a scrubber pad will do it. - Do not use on stainless steel or copper.

We moved into a house and could not replace everything at once, so the tub waited. I was scaled, gross, discolored, etc. Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Try it. They are cheap, don't stick like some chemicals, and easy to use... They are seriously my new best friend in cleaning...

COMET cleanser a good rough sponge and lots and lots of elbow grease!! thats how I did it in my kids bathroom, and the tub came out WHITE again!!! then I had them keep up with it by cleaning it 2 -3 times a week depending on how filthy it gets. I got too much to do to continue cleaning their bathroom so I showed them how to do it and so far it's working. I gotta remind them from time to time but it helps cutting work for me to do.

you could use one of the steam cleaners. All you need is to fill the machine with water and its water so it won't harm you while you clean. I used the orange cleaning stuff and that also works but you have to turn the bathroom fan on or you will get dizzy from the smell.

My grandmother cleans houses for a living and she swears by magic erasers! I would suggest filling it with warm soapy water and some comet for a couple hours, then draining it and scrubbing with magic erasers. I did this to my tub, it wasn't as bad as yours sounds, but it worked very very well! Good Luck!

To start fill it with bleach and close the door, the fumes will make you sick. Then get some tilex, the fragrance, and spray it down, then use a bath scrunchie to scub the tub. that works great. Leave the spray on the tub and tell your husband and children to use it when they are done showering or bathing.

You could do the initial cleaning with soft scrub and a scrub brush, then get one of those magic eraser things with just water to get any hard to clean spots. You may want to pass this on to your husband for when *he* cleans it hehe.
