It's called multi-tasking and is why you pay me so much. My ability to do it, and do it well. Wait, one, got a nuclear chain reaction going off, needs my attention...... OK, better,,, I think I just invented cold fusion.

I actually wonder where I would be right now if instead of 2 hours a day at work doing Yahoo Answers I did a full 8 hours of work at work,
would my boss think I should have more work finishing my workload a full 2 hours earlier every day?

Sir,
I was just demonstrating to the new kids on the block that we are a department of multi-tasking. We are able to work, drink coffee, talk, and type on Y!A all while getting our work done. If you'd like, we could return to our previous efficiency of completing one task at a time; we can turn off our computers, clean off of our desks, and resume talking about you when you leave.
