Most of the earth is covered in water so the blue color is a reflection of the water.

The sky appears to be blue because the duat particles in the sky reflect blue light.....the sky looks red at times for the same reason.

Because the processing of the way our atmosphere deals with light waves. The shortest wavelengths of light are what we see in the sky as light interacts with our atmosphere. The shortest wavelenghts are blue and violet. Since our eyes see blue much more easily...the sky is blue.

A clear cloudless day-time sky is blue because molecules in the air scatter blue light from the sun more than they scatter red light. When we look towards the sun at sunset, we see red and orange colours because the blue light has been scattered out and away from the line of sight.

It is all to do with how our eyes perceive, sunlight reflected through nitrogen molecules
At night it is still the same sky, --- no blue
