I have a picture of me and someone I would like to burn onto a nice piece of wood for them to keep. It's a regular picture we took together, and I thought about tracing it onto the wood, and burning over the design with the woodburning tool. How can I do that? I've used carbon paper to trace other things, but they were just letters and stuff. I think I may need to edit the picture a certain way so I can trace and burn it onto the wood. This make sense? How do I do this? I want to get started on it soon, so any advice ASAP will be most helpful.

You may need to experiment with a copier using black copy selection. This will give you a silhouette type picture to copy onto the wood with carbon paper. It provides heavy shading that is useful for making it look good.
