Sure. People do it all the time. They have duties they shirk, morals they ignore, and beliefs they hold inspite of the evidence against them. This is called "cognitive dissonance."
Recent studies using brain scans have shown exactly what parts of the brain are active when we are fooling ourselves. Most interestingly, people fool themselves much of the time. Look how many people claim to be Christian but ignore the injunctions attributed to Jesus in the Bible, like selling all your possessions and giving the money to the poor.
You can hide from your true self, the self that knows who you are and what you ought to do. Enlightenment is never hiding from yourself.

I believe so in a mental/emotional way, yes. Physical way..mmmmm not so much..lol. I think it's very possible to hide from yourself, by lying to yourself about how you are, who you want to be, where you are in life, etc.

The great philosopher Tommy Shaw answers your question with accusation to an angry young man:
You see the world through your cynical eyes
You're a troubled young man I can tell
You've got it all in the palm of your hand
But your hand's wet with sweat and your head needs a rest
And you're fooling yourself if you don't believe it
You're kidding yourself if you don't believe it
How can you be such an angry young man
When your future looks quite bright to me
How can there be such a sinister plan
That could hide such a lamb, such a caring young man
You're fooling yourself if you don't believe it
You're kidding yourself if you don't believe it
Get up, get back on your feet
You're the one they can't beat and you know it
Come on, let's see what you've got
Just take your best shot and don't blow it
You're fooling yourself if you don't believe it
You're killing yourself if you don't believe it
Get up, get back on your feet
You're the one they can't beat and you know it
Come on, let's see what you've got
Just take your best shot and don't blow it.

Ever hear the saying 'no matter where you go, there you are.' Meaning you can't hide from yourself no matter where you are.

not in a physical sense, but you can supress your emotions deep enough to hide them , even from yourself.
