A/C Delco is actually the original equipment used by GM for their automobiles

For an unmodified street engine AC-Delco iridium spark plugs seem to have the correct reach and heat range for all GM engines.
There are a lot of trick spark plugs out there. Bosch with their multi-ground tips, E3 with the crazy shaped ground electrode, Denco, NGK, Autolite, -- forget Champion etc.

I ran across some other plug on the net the other day that had what looked like an added coil winding inside the porcelain. Supposedly they provide a total of 80,000 volts the the spark plug gap.

Autolite's do however work well in modified Chevy small block.

They say that because that is what gm wants you to buy. Its a $ thing.

i don't think they really are the Chevy dealer use them so that is were that comes from
