Self-confident. Sometimes you are just hungry and want to eat somewhere.

The only thing I think about them is that they're dining alone.
Frankly, I don't make silent commentary and/or judgments about strangers. There are more worthwhile things for my brain to think about.
By the way, I often eat out alone, such as on my lunch break at work. I also travel alone, since I don't want to have to deal with all that tiring discussion of "what are we going to do today?" I have numerous friends, but don't have a relentless need to always have companionship.

If your single, and don't have friends and family close, are you not supposed to go out to restaurants? I've done it before while my hubby was living 600 miles away, when my kids were off at their dads. The strange thing to me was that I think I got better service than I usually would. I guess maybe they felt sorry for me, sitting alone.
I've gone to the movies by myself, too. It's only weird until the movie starts, and when you get up to leave. But unless its a boring movie, you don't much think about it while the movie is playing.

Persons who go out to "Eat Alone" are not "Barbaric, and/or Weird", but they are probably "Self-confident, and/or just want a relaxing Peaceful Dining Experience"! "WITHOUT HAVING TO COOK A GOOD MEAL, AND NOT HAVING TO CLEAN UP AFTERWORDS"!:)

Self-confident. I always want to invite them to our table. Not becuase I think they are lonely but because I think they would be interesting to talk to.
