Have you ever wanted to make something out of scratch for someone instead of wasting money and that shows value? Why not make a simple 5x7 scrapbook with your favorite pictures of that special someone for a special occasion. The only things required for this project is time, patience, love, and items from your nearest scrap booking store.
First things first, gather all your materials which include a 5x7 scrapbook (any size is fine), decorative items and paper, glue stick, pictures, scissors or cutting board and a quite relaxing place to build your book.. All these items will help you create a cute, full of love scrapbook that the receiver will love.
After gathering the items needed, choose one decorative paper to create the front page. Then a picture of you and the person whom is receiving this book. One thing I love to do when creating a scrapbook is recording the date from which this book which made, so that in 10 to 20 years looking at this book you will remember.

Sentence 1. Move "and shows value" to after "someone".
Sentence 2. Needs ? at end.
Sentence 3. "scrap-booking" takes a hyphen.
Para. 2. I'd skip the "any size is fine". If any size IS fine, why start talking about a 5x7?
Para 3, sent 2 is sent fragment.
Sent 3. Too many gerands; change to "is to record the date the book was completed."
Sent 3. I suggest ending this at "made". You are shifting person.
Rest of sentence. "If you do this, in 10 or 20 years, you will fondly remember the occasion and the special someone."

It's a great job. I rewrote it a little to fix grammar, but no change to content! Great work!

Have you ever wanted to make someone special a one-of-a-kind gift from scratch rather than buy them a mass produced, mass market item? Why not make a simple 5x7 scrapbook with your favorite pictures of that special person for a special occasion? The only things required for this project are some pictures, some items from your nearest scrap booking store, and the ever important ingredients of time, patience and love.

First things first; gather all your materials, which should include a 5x7 scrapbook (any size is fine), decorative items and paper, glue stick, pictures, scissors or cutting board and a quiet, relaxing place to build your book.. All these items will help you create a cute, meaningful scrapbook that the receiver will love to receive.

After setting your items up in your chosen location, pick one decorative paper to create the front page, and a picture of you and the person for whom you’re making this book. One thing I love to do when creating a scrapbook is to record the date, so that in years to come the times will be easy to remember.

Opening statement... "Have you ever wanted to show someone how much you love them without investing a ton of money but showing a ton sentimental value?

"The only things required for this project is time, patience, love, and items from your nearest scrap booking store."

-Change "The only things required for this project is..." to "All that you need for this project is..."

"First things first, gather all your materials which include a 5x7 scrapbook (any size is fine), decorative items and paper, glue stick, pictures, scissors or cutting board and a quite relaxing place to build your book."

-"First gather all your materials, which include..."
-comma between "decorative items" and "paper"
-comma after "cutting board"

"Then a picture of you and the person whom is receiving this book."

-Sentence Fragment - "of you and the person whom is receiving this book" is a prepositional phrase.

"One thing I love to do when creating a scrapbook is recording the date from which this book which made, so that in 10 to 20 years looking at this book you will remember."

-Change "recording" to record.

-"from which this book which made"
-from which this book was made.

"...so that in 10 to 20 years looking at this book you will remember."

-What will you remember?

When explaining things in an expository essay you want to give good details.

It's detailed, as an expository piece is supposed to include, but this type of writing sounds all too familiar. The "have you ever...why not do this" is pretty much a cliche, it's way overused. Change that, and the formatting of the words, too internet-copy sound-ish.
