the effects of air friction are only based on the geometry of an object. A flat sheet of paper dropped horizontally will have a lot more resistance than when it is dropped vertically. Two objects of same shape will fall at the same rate.

The other responders are assuming that you should ignore the effect of air friction, but I gather from the wording that the question is ABOUT the effects of air friction.

The fact is, if both objects are the same shape, the heavier one will land first, due to the effects of air friction.

Gravity accelerates both objects at the same rate. Mass and density is irrelevant (in a vaccuum) so they will hit the ground at the same time.

i remember hearing about this in school and i think there is a crazy formula and everything.
but what i do remember is:
they both fall at the same speed and hit at the same time.
i kno it sounds crazy but its true.
i remember thinking:
how the hell does that work out?
