Yes I do. I have little notes everywhere !! We use to make little pads out of recycled computer paper at school and take some to the office for them to use also! It's a good way to teach kids to recycle and is a great ecology lesson to all !!!

I use every available space on my notepads before shredding and recycling. Also used envelopes are useful for shopping lists, word puzzles (the see how many words you can make out of 9 given letters sort) and doodling - I mean taking notes, when I'm on the phone.

I have piles of Post-It notes I write stuff down on. Like my
kids phone numbers that are right near the phone. Also
notes to myself, about the dog's medicine dosage. Knitting
notes I put with projects. Computer usernames and passwords are right by my computer. I like things where I can get at them. I use old stationery for grocery lists. The junk mail and the rest get recycled, good for the environment. I love Post-It notes.

My eldest daughter once got her hands on a huge supply of 3x5 cards. Six months later I'm still using them as scratch paper in my computer work area at home.
But, along with the Sunday paper, they do get recycled. In the case of the cards, they go into the shredder first.

When I was working in an office they recycles EVERYTHING.
Me personally, my favorite place to write things are on the backs of envelopes from mail. I don't have an idea why. My trademark is to write down a phone number and never write who's number it is. I drive myself crazy when I have to call someone back and have no idea which number is theirs. I use caller ID for my phone book though. On my cell I have phone numbers received and called so sometimes i can run through these to find a number.

I use my notepads until there is no room left on the pages. I do the same with sticky notes. I actually have a small collection of them sitting right next to my monitor.

We recycle envelopes by using them for shopping lists and any cardboard packaging, cereal boxes, loo roll and kitchen paper inner cardboard roll, gets put into our gerbils tank n we recycle it that way coz it gives them hours of fun moving them around, building levels from and then chewing up into teeny tiny pieces....saves on electricity using the shredder....n then when we clean out their tank the whole lot goes into the compost bin!

I turn my paper around on my printer, if it is not being sent to anyone, but needs to be kept by me for info or whatever. What drives me mad are slips/receipts from shops, as I put my spending on Excel, and then have to throw away all those bits of paper. We are not allowed to burn anything at present because of the drought and the risk of fire.

I guess because I grew up during some tough times, I will recycle most anything that is worth it. This sounds crazy, but I even go as far as washing and reusing those heavy duty zip-lock bags and folding clean tin foil to reuse. I guess I always fall back on my mother's old expression of "waste not, want not".

I just got a printer and I am working the kinks out. All of the printing errors make good scratch paper. I sure have a lot of it.
