My beautiful baby girl was born on June 6th, 2006. Yes, its true. She's a 6-6-6 baby. We embrace the irony of her birth date. We think its funny, not 'creepy' or 'satanic'. For a Halloween party at our community center, we dressed her up as a little devil. It came up in conversation with a couple of our neighbors that we were chatting to that her birthday was 06-06-06. They immediately got very awkward. They said that it was horrible that she was born on that day (like I could help it). Then they took their kids away from my daughter and told them they couldn't play together anymore! Are you serious?!

Should I even waste my breath by saying something to these people or just be thankful that awful people like that aren't in my daughters life? The really sad part? My own mother-in-law won't acknowledge the fact that she was born on 06-06-06. She knows that that's her birth date, but she thinks its terrible that we refer it like that. Why do people take it SO seriously?

Yes, I know I posted this question twice. I posted it in two different categories so that I could get lots of different opinions.

Several babies are born at the same time. Your daughter is not the only one to have the birthday 6-6-6! These people need to get over themselves. The bible says that the antichrist is born on the 6th day of the 6th month at the 6th hour. Year has nothing to do with it!

So, unless your daugher was born on June 6th at exactly 6:00, then your neighbors have no legitmate reason to worry. Furthermore, the bible also states that the antichrist has the intitals 6.6.6 engraved on his/her forehead. Does your daughter have the numbers 6.6.6 engraved on her forehead?

I didn't think so. Tell your neighbors to lighten up, and present them with the facts.

Congratulations on the birth of your daughter! She's a Gemini! I know it's hard, but try to ignore those comments throughtout her life. Some people are very superstitious and expect others to have the same beliefs. Many times, I avoid the #13 cash register at Walmart - why? because we've grown up thinking that #13 is a bad luck number. But, in some cultures it is not. A couple of days ago, I was in Walmart. I was in a hurry and the lines were long except for #13. For the first time in my life, I didn't care. I was in and out quickly and nothing has happened to me (knock on wood)! Be stronger and think above those people. Wishing you and your daughter much happiness in life! :D

Awe..I think that story is cute. Ok, not the b-day, but i wouldn't seclude ur kid from mine just because of her b-day! Yeah, it's a co-incidence, but nothing bad about it! I see the humor in it too. C'mon, God made her come out on that day, so she can't be bad! I mean, how many aethist are born on Christmas? I bet alot! I can't believe these simple minded people! Yeah, u should be happy on both accounts, that simple minded people don't want to hang out with ur kid, and no, don't waste ur breathe talking to those folks. There are plenty of other's who'll judge ur kid on who she is, and not on when she's born! It's stupid to size a person up based on stuff they can't control!

I can't believe there are ppl like that in the world...and yet, they probably call themselves christian too!

I think that's ridiculous. I'm catholic and I think it's bullcrap. Nevermind that lady or your mother-in-law. I'd have a word with her by the way. I'd have her b-day parties on that day for her entire life. Not on the saturday like most parents do. Let it be known what her dob is. This isn't the movie OMEN or something. She's a little baby. What's she? The anti-christ. Yeah, her and the other hundred thousand babies born on that day. People watch too much tv.

You should ask your mothere in law if she would like you to rewind time and have her on her preferred date..lol But you should get rid of these crazy ppl now before your daughter starts noticing it to. You can't help when you head her anymore then you can help these uneducated dumb @ss people who think less of her b/c of her b-day. If they can't get over it, then it's best they're not around your baby girl. I say the hell with them..Oops! should I have said that? No just playing!!!! God doesn't like ugly and those people are being exactly that.

"Should I even waste my breath by saying something to these people or just be thankful that awful people like that aren't in my daughters life?"

Yes, please, at least make an attempt to help them see past their ignorance and superstition. After all, they aren't really "awful people," they just don't know any better. You might mention to them that there's NO Biblical basis whatsoever for associating the mark of the Beast (666) with any particular calendar date, and in fact our modern calendar wasn't even in use in Biblical days.

God bless you and your lovely daughter!

These people sound like aliens from another planet to me and I wouldn't give them the time of day. Congratulations on having a beautiful daughter! I think the date of birth is hilarious - be sure to make the most of it - I would!

i personally think that's pretty funny. you obviously have no control over your daughter's birthday or the way that people react to it. i think the fact that you are embracing your daughter's situation is wonderful, and worrying about the way other's react to it will only put undue stress on you and your daughter.

life is too short to worry about others. :)
