Large number of abortions is a function of overall poorly managed socially and economically society, not legality.

I'd have to do a back of the envelope caculation to confirm those numbers, but if they are in the ballpark, the population of the US now would be ~ >100 million more then it is now - a > 33% increase!
Given all the social issues we have at our current population level (not enough highways, energy, food, jobs, education and other resources spread pretty thin), what do you think we would do with all those extra people?

Did you know that the case is called ROE v. Wade? And what's your source for the number? Just wondering because people like to throw out numbers and I rarely see them cite the source.

why do people keep bringing up the abortion topic? Nobody is every going to come to a decision that favors everyone on this issue. It's far too controversial to be discussed on Yahoo! Answers.

Did you know the federal government has just completed an initial series of sting operations on southern abortion clinics and found that all those involved in the sting agreed to do abortions on babies that could live outside the womb? It was on the news not too long ago.
Its ******* sickening. We'll make a choice to kill the unborn, but not the choice to avoid making them. This is a selfish pigheaded generation. I hate it.

How many of those were done in clean medical facilities with doctors trained in the procedure? Give me the figures on abortion before Roe v. Wade. How many of those were done in back alley chop shops or unclean conditions? Whether I agree with abortion or not, I definitely agree with guaranteeing myself acceptable medical treatment should I choose to go that route.

It's pretty sad.
On the bright side, the kids would have probably had terrible parents.

C'mon, people! It's about a woman's reproductive FREEDOM, not whether or not it's immoral.
It is up to the individual to decide for herself what is moral or not; it isn't for me (or you) to decide.
Get a life! (no pun intended)
