Some are criminals, don't label them all as innocent. Actually, all would be, because the illegals broke laws to get here, but breaking a law to work? Come on now...

Their are huge differences. Most legal ones come here to work better jobs, especially in the tech sector. Many of the illegal ones take sub-minimum wage jobs, have little education or work skills. In my experience though, the illegal ones that work hard have the best work ethic I have seen in my life. I'm talking 16 hour days with no breaks for $4 / hr. Seeing as they have little in life, I would call them smart for doing the only thing they can to provide for themselves.

I know many illegals don't know English, don't learn our civics and so on.... they don't have the means. If you live in a shanty town in Mexico, you can't go online to learn English and place the phone calls and send the letters and do the work that is expected to gain citizenship. Seeing as how we have a willing population to just come here and work, and their work can benefit this country, something should be done to accomodate them.

Not much. Some people say disease, but no. They rely purely on anecdotal evidence and false Lou Dobbs reporting.

There is, however, a thriving "coyote" business along the border that is raking in tons of money from families of illegals to smuggle people across the border. Some just simply lack the patience to spend years and possibly decades just waiting to enter the US. Thanks to a backlog within the ridiculous quota system, the number of undocumented immigrants will continue to rise unless there is serious reform.

Language, culture, respect for the rule of law, loyalty.

That's just the short list. Any more questions?

Oh and the guy who robs banks just wants a better life too and he thinks getting a lot of money he didn't have to work for is the way to that better life. Too bad robbing banks is against the law, huh?

if you were never taught the difference between leagal and illegal, or right and wrong I feel sorry for you.

just like a line, why should someone cut in line when they didn't have to go through the rules set like the other immigrants did. How is that fair?

Simple... one is "legal" having gone through the appropiate steps to gain citezenship or residency, and the other is "illegal" which means they are breaking the law and costing the law abiding, tax paying US citizen precious money. That's like asking what the difference is in a criminal and someone who obeys the law, are you serious with that question?

Illegals do not want to be american, they break our laws and kill our people.

The legals busted their butts, paid their dues and waited for their ok to join us as an American. Only those who work so hard to become an American WANT to be American.

Those who don't want to destroy us.

There is your difference.

Illegals are a threat to us.

the United States is the only country in the world that in theory is supposed to be governed by the rule of law. The current law says to be in this country you must be approved. there are currently 1000's if not millions of immigrants that want to come to this country but are on a waiting list following the rule of law. the difference is these people understand the importance of doing the right thing and the others dont. I want the people that follow the rule of law to be able to benefit from the fruits of this country not the ones who dont.

Nothing besides the waiting line. Legal immigrants deal with the same issues illegal ones do. If anything, the only difference is the wages they earn. Illegal immigrants earn far less than legal ones, who get at least minimum wage.

How do you hope to reduce poverty when you don't regulate the flood of poor into the country. How do you protect the citizens of this country when you give citizens of another country easy access to stealing our identities? How do hope to provide universal healthcare for unlimited numbers of destitute people?

how about LEGAL and ILLEGAL.....since you see no difference what about an inmate and a guard besides the money the guard makes for being there??? I'd say maybe one broke the law and the other is just trying to make an honest days wage for himself!!!
