I want to explore something new.. I have been in sales for awhile and my Mom and I would like too team up and try real estate. Have any tips???

I used to work in the mortgage industry which goes hand in hand with realtors. The best way to become a real estate agent is to go into a real estate firm as an apprentice. Show your interest and then go to Kaplan to take courses and study for your exam. Once you have passed your test, the real estate firm you apprentice at will hire you for sure.

Look online for Real Estate Schools and sign up for a real estate class. You can take it in a week going all day, or over a period of several months. Once you pass the final at the RE school they will give you a certificate which you send in to the state to sit for the state exam to be licensed. Then in order to sell RE you must hang your license with a real estate broker. If your mom in an agent then you could hang it with her broker. In order to sell homes thru an agency they usually require you to go thru their own training classes to make sure you do this correctly.

Talk to a local broker. Many of them will give you a "scholarship" to go to real estate school. Then you work from that office when you get your license. That's what I did.

go to your local community college and see if they have any classes in real estate. If you don't have a community college, try calling your local real estate board. They will be able to help you.
