I'm looking to get one or the other for my daughter and I really don't want to buy "totally new" as I'm not sure how well she'll take care of it....

when I was shopping for a pc and saw the prices for refurbs I found it was cheaper to buy a brand new on and use a $400 off coupon. Try they same thing they have the coupons at http://www.juicycoupons.com/Computers/Dell-com-Coupons/index.html

I purchased a XPS 410 refurbished for $450 i love it ,i upgraded a few thing for about $200 and the same XPS 410 with the upgrades i did myself cost $1200 now brand new

I bought two refurbished units from them. Other than a little sticker that says "this is a refurbished unit," I couldn't tell the difference. I am very happy with my purchase.
