should college ahtletes be paid for what they do?

If they are paid they lose their amateur status. Most of them are given scholarships to cover their school and housing and some schools make sure that they are given jobs on campus too.

I do not believe that college athletes should be paid. I mean they are playing sports, that's all. In America we already give too much attention to athletes. What's going to happen next? Are we going to be paying little kids for playing sports?
