I don't know whether it is necessary in Manchester, but if you ever take a look at Kolkata (Calcutta) cabs, you will hardly find one without a couple of dents on their bodies. Sure Kolkatans need body armour while travelling by taxi. Could Manchester possibly be worse than that?
