cuz he does suck. and ppl taste in music sucks. i honestly hate the guy. i never listen to that dam song. hes lyrically handicapped and people dont care about good lyrics anymore. nowadays if i jus had a good catchy beat and said "fa la la la la la la la la" or "apple sauce is good" evryone in the country would like the song. am i a good rapper then? hell no. same wit soulja boy. his lyrics SUCK @SS but the people just dont care anymore.

The Macarena was a #1 song too for weeks, was that hot too? If you play anything enough times on the radio, people will like it. It's the science of radio, and hopefully when you are older you will understand that you aren't even making the decisions on the music you listen to. You are only taking what is given to you.
Besides, in a few months no one will remember him. Just like people already forgot about "Chicken Noodle Soup" "my lip Gloss Is Poppin" "This is Why I'm Hot" and "Ay Bay Bay".
Giving people hope??? lol no, he is selling false dreams that any idiot with a beat and a dance can become rich which is not the case.

I hate that damn song and all these songs like it the moment i first heard them. It has nothing to do with the radio--beating you over the head with it every hour on the hour. He looks and sounds retarded you can't even understand what the hell he's saying. The reason why he has the number one song in the the country is because alot of americans don't know what real music is or wouldn't appreciate it if they heard it and the kids love it. It is energetic and has a goofy dance that comes with it which relates to kids....kids + cash= an undeserving artist going multi-platnum. And lastly it was way too soon after bpj for him to use that beat.

the reason people hate him is becouse the song is over played and his lyrics are written horrible bad.
then again the reason hes got the top song right now is becouse its mainstreem and people think they have to like some thing every one else likes. its just a realy big trend right now like pokemon was.

It is a dispicable representation of Hip-Hop music. It is #1 because hip hop is at an alltime low. Maybe if the song were more intellegent, I would like it. It is a catchy trend that people like to dance to. That is all I think on this subject.

Just because you have the number one soing in the country doesnt mean any thing. It just means that millions of people are dumb as hell. because i hate all those new rappers who just make a song with a catchy hook and a new dance and all of a sudden its number one. the thing that first made me love rap was all these rappers with these awesome complex lyrics and now all thats coming out is this retard music
