in my experience,this is a true statement. i am 56 years old,and the vast majority of people i have known who experience long-term unemployment were those who seized upon and used any excuse offered to avoid or quit a job. (this does not include actual disability) excuses include such things as -pay too low,an annoying boss or coworkers,too hard,too far,dont like the hours,have to cut my hair,have to wear a uniform,etc. you get the picture. almost anyone can find some kind of job if they really want to

I think it was made by someone that never had a job outsourced,was never unemployed or underemployed(and underpaid).

While there's certainly people who are unemployed do to their own personal failings,they're the minority. Indeed, the term itself is insulting in its tone. Because someone isn't career-oriented doesn't make them a bad person.
