They will finish 2ND behind Detriot. Then lose in the 2nd round of the East Semi-finals.

I thought the Bulls choked against the Pistons last year; they very well could have won that series. They wore my boys from Detroit down, making them suceptable to a one-dimensional Cleavland squad they should have beat.
I remember thinking after that series (Det/Chi) - "watch out Detroit, next year these guys are gonna get you".
that said, the Bulls will be in the eastern conference finals this year. They'll face either - the Pistons, Cavs, Miami, or Boston. At that point it really becomes a toss up. Perhaps Big Ben is what the Pistons needed to stop LBJ last year. Maybe Boston will suprise me and be a great team. Maybe Shaq's Heat will be healthy and primed for one last trophy run. The Pistons....though they are my team, but I have no faith in Flip Saunders at this point and would be suprised for them to make the finals this year.
If the bulls make the finals (say about 39% chance) it will depend on who wins the West. Dallas, San Antonio would bea bad draw. Pheonix, or some other would be preferable.
***all assumptions made assuminging that no Kobe trade is made.

Out of all the big team names that dominated the 90's (Bulls, Rockets,Magic, Jazz, Pacers, L.A. and so forth.....) Chicago has done a decent job of regenerating their team back to being a playoff team; w/ young players at that. I think they can finish third in the east, then in semi finals.

if they keep their current roster, 2nd round at least, possibly conference finals. If they trade for Kobe, 1st round exit. Kobe's the master of 1st round exits now.

I think they can make it to the Finals, but they probably couldn't win them. The west is so tough.
