If someone sends me money for purchasing something from me, the money will go directly into paypal, but will that money show up on my bank statement?

No. You would have to transfer it to your bank account for it to show up.

You have to set up a transfer to your bank account from Paypal, then you can transfer your earnings into your bank account. There are a few steps to get this done, Paypal will actually deposit a few cents into your account. This is the final step to get your bank account set to receive money from Paypal. You can get a Paypal debit card so that you can get the money out without going through your bank

No it is just in the paypal account. It is spendable from there after it is cleared. You should be able to transfer it to another account as well, I just spend it from paypal....LOL

No, not unless you specifically "withdraw" those funds and send them to your bank. It's not automatic.
