perhaps you will get to see just that. kinda, sorta. it's called the Polish Missile-Interceptor Crisis. but the roles are reversed, and Khrushchev and the Soviet Union are history. now it's Putin and the Russian Federation.

with all the other conflicts that we don't need, the cold war is back.

oh, and please remember george herbert walker bush was involved in both of these incidences.

Probably with a botched invasion like Iraq, followed by sanctions, like those against Iran.

Y'know, like the Bay of Pigs and the blockade.

Actually, the parralles between the JFK and Dubya presidencies are striking. JFK used overblown fears of a 'missle gap,' for instance, while Dubya used overblown fears of WMDs.

Most likely, an invasion would have took place. The United States would have declared war on Cuba and the U.S. would probably lose.

They would have nuked Cuba within five hours, and invaded Iceland.

Cuba would be free. Kennedy had a carrier ready to go to help the democratic revolutionaries. For whatever political BS reason, he choked. Too many times, we have abandoned those who fight for freedom in the face of oppression. Repubs and Dems. There's enough blame to go around.

Sounds a little like Libya.

Since there is no way to determine how someone would have reacted to a crisis over 35 years ago, the question seems a little baited to me.
