A:
I know nothing about vista...except I am told it takes minimum of 40 gig to run smooth.
I could be wrong...but it is what i was told. I'm sticking with XP.
-------
now......try this;....START button,...my computer,...double click your hdd,...and open it.
left click on folders,...and it displays the entire system...
right click on hdd,...go down to properties,...and left click.
it should show what you have on the hdd.
if this looks wrong somehow,...
under properties---go to tools and do a disk defrag..
then reboot.
also click error checking BEFORE you defrag,...then when you reboot it will check the entire hdd for you.
if none of this changes anything...you may have to go folder to folder to check for issues.
find the folder you made an attempt at a download and try to delete.

This problem can be caused by a few different things. Firstly, Empty your recycle bin. This should free up a little. Next point to note is that if you have allocated 20,000mb to your partition, then its actual size is not 20gb. Computers work in Binary (1s and 0s) therefore, ie, kilobyte is not 1000 bytes, it is the closest value that you can get to it in binary, which is 1024 bytes. This works up the line, so if you have assigned 20,000mb to your partition, the actual size in gb is 19.53gb. Also, a negligible amount of extra space is taken up when using NTFS as opposed to FAT32, but that won't really make much of a difference.

1. Try restaring your system
2. Search in search for the name of the file
3. Delete all files corresponding to file
4. Run Diskdefrag
5. Run Disk Cleanup
6. Make sure files you are downloading from .torrent are clean and always check responses.

check the recycle bin, go to the actual directory and be sure hte file actually deleted, sometimes they dont. if its in use youll have to kill the bitcomet program to break teh connection. also try a restart.
after that run a chkdsk from command promt.

Try and do an error check on the hard drive, and then defrag it. That might clear up the problem.
