My boyfriend does the same thing and God forbid if i do it, because then i have something to hide! They do that to distract you and make you feel like crap afterwords. It doesn't work with me! There are some men who are very honest with there spouse but its not the honest women who get them!

Why do you really care if 'all' men lie? Fact is...he did. Fact is...you caught him. So how about addressing this concern in your life rather than making a weak and sorry attempt at trying to look philosophical and ask totally ridiculous questions that you know the answer to already.

Always trying to skirt the issue. Stick to the facts at hand. You've been lied to. probably because you can't confront someone directly and have to beat around the bush. Hell...I'd lie to you just for the sake of knowing I could get away with it and wouldn't be called on it.

both men and women lie and the reason they "get all excited and upity" is because they are trying see if they can continue getting away with their lie or if it's going to explode in their face.

You've just run into a liar who happens to be a male. Just because one man has an inclination to lie to you doesn't make all of us men liars. That's like a person getting mugged by a black and then saying that all blacks are criminals - that's racist and not true. Don't make assumptions on an entire gender from just one bad experience.

It is their way of determining if you are going to call them on it or let it slide, and women as well as men do it, and we see that it sometimes works by the number of questions here as to whether someone should give a cheating spouse a second or third chance after being caught in an affair.

Was Jesus a real man? Yes he was, and he never lied.Do not be deceived ladies a REAL man does not lie..only the weak spineless, gutless males do this..and yet you accept this behavior as something all men do..There are some real men that live by this creed."Death before dishonor" that means they would rather die before they would lie, cheat, steal,or do anything that would bring shame or dishonor to them.

Sad to see you are catagorizing "all men" into one basket. It is clear you have had multiple bad experiences, but rest assured, you cannot catagorize "all men" or "all women" or all of a nationality or race into one catagory.

Why not learn how to forgive and stop venting your bitterness to the world by attacking men. That is truly the pot calling the kettle black.

Kind of a loaded question there, but everyone lies if they get caught doing something they are not supposed to be doing. I think mostly because they are ashamed that they did it, and they got caught… or more that they got caught.
