Yes! It is such a great photo!
Baby will be too young to be scared of strangers, and Santa likes the 'littles' that don't scream on his lap.
Dress baby in something that shows up against red - bring a spare outfit, or dress him after you are in line.
Both our 'infant' Santa pics are adorable - the second one, my oldest son is crying, 'cause he doesn't know any man with a beard!
Second pic [ with second son ] not as bad - he figured if big brother was happy, he would be too - but he is still watching Santa VERY CLOSELY.
My older went back to see Santa last year [ at 22! ] and Santa said, "Did you miss me?"
Rob said "Yeah!" and gave him a big hug - he and Santa are both grinning like fools in the pic!

I think I'll do it just because it's his first Christmas. It'll be something nice to add to his scrap book. My son is really passive, so I don't have to worry about him crying or anything like that. Also, in my area, a restaurant hosts a breakfast for families where you can bring your child to get pictures with Santa while doing all sorts of fun activities together....and let's not forget the food.
**I was wondering about all that talk regarding your account. I had answered a few of your questions and was surprised that you were being targeted.

OK, this is going to sound crazy, but bear with me. I have a HUGE phobia having to do with anything dressed up, be it Santa or Mickey Mouse. The very idea of my son sitting on Santa's laps make my blood pressure rise. I have no idea where I got this fear from, but I don't want to pass it on to my son. I told my husband that I will go to the mall with them for the photo, but he would have to take him to Santa, while I went elsewhere. Thank goodness there aren't too many holiday's where I have to worry about this (although Halloween turns me into a panicky mess).

I am most defintely taking my daughter to get a pic with Santa. She will be a year on December 1st, so hopefully it will come out really cute.
Last year, she was almost a month old at Christmas, and for some reason I didn't take her. I'm real bummed about it now, because I missed a great opportunity!

With my first son he was only 1 1/2 months old and I took him to get a picture with Santa - that's the only one I could get him to take, after that he was always scared of him. My daughter will be 11 months in December and I don't know if we'll try to take them this year - she may be old enough to be scared of Santa.

Of course! He'll be about 7 - 7 1/2 months by then and isn't that a right of passage? To pee on Santa's lap? lol, just kidding.
But yes, I am taking him. I'd like to get a picture each year of him doing this until he's old enough and doesn't want to anymore.

My son isn't under one anymore but he did go get the picture with Santa when he was. What's better to send in Christmas cards then a sweet baby sitting with Santa? I think those are the cutest pictures ever.

My son will actually be 13-14 months old at that point, but I'll still probably not take him. He's got stranger anxiety issues going on, and would probably just scream until I picked him up and got at least a few feet away from the fellow.

Mine will be 4 months, and like the person above I'd like a yearly photo of her and santa to see how she's grown/sentimental reasons.
It'll be fun for her to look back on!! Us too!!

Of course!
I have to have one from each year...
It's a form of watching your child grow. Every year about the same time you'll pull out the Christmas stuff and flip through the photo's thinking about how fast time goes.
