Just depends on how far I feel like driving... the fresh from the butcher are definitely better, but a lot more inconvenient to find where I live...

depends on what i'm cooking at the time. If i'm doing toad in the hole, cheap ones are ok, but if i'm doing a fry up or sausage egg chips and beans then i like to buy thick tasty sausages from butchers

Our local butcher has won many prizes/awards for his fresh sausages. The lamb and mint are nice and the pork and tomato but the best are turkey and cranberry -fat and juicy !!

Hi Gartom, if you are cooking them in onions and gravy, the frozen cheap ones are fine, just get Pork, they are best --,if you want to eat them on their own, go for a dearer fresh one, but again, stick to pork sausage. love Jo xx
