That was not a cruel question. I am a native of San Diego and if you follow the news, the Chargers want to play at home this Sunday against the Texans but they cannot because of the evacuees. So why not put on a free show for the evacuees to help them take their mind off their problems for awhile. 40 of the personal on the Chargers have been affected by the fires and they still want to do their jobs.

I got a hold of San Diego's CBS station (KFMB) and here is what they said:
Thanks for the suggestion. That would be something if they could plan that out logistically.

NO! Why would they want to depress the evacuees even more? it sucks to be an evacuees, and they have to watch the chargers too? man that's harsh.

This is a great idea - local businesses could donate and also pay to advertise - the team's losses would be deferred, they would reap incredible goodwill, and the businesses would get phenominal return on their donations in kind and monetarily.

I'm surprised the Los Angeles Colesium or the Rose Bowl are not available
