He hasn't had a formed stool since he was 2 weeks old and he is 3 months now.He is breastfed. Is there something I shouldn't be eating or does this all sound normal?

For a breastfed baby, that is COMPLETELY normal. The contents of breast milk are almost totally absorbed into your baby's body therefore there is less waste product. It should be yellow in color also and not hard. I had the same worries at first and thought my baby was constipated but was re-assured by doctors, nurses, and many other mothers that this was not only normal, but healthy. As a matter of fact, it is not rare that at three months old your baby may start having bowel movements only once a week! Good luck! Oh, and good for you for giving your baby the best start in life with your breast milk!

It is very normal for some babies to poop only 3-4 days, I have asked my baby's doctor that question before and he said some baby's poop 2-3 times a day or only every 3-4 days. Now, I am not sure about how runny his stool is, since he is breast fed, their stools will normally be pretty runny. I would call your doctor and ask about the runny stool. It's probably nothing, but to be on the safe side, I would call them, they will tell you right over the phone if everything seems fine.

Yep... Normal...

Even for a formula fed baby this would be pretty normal... every baby is different thus the reason why some poop every day like mine did and some poop every couple of days... babies who aren't eating solids yet shouldn't have "formed poops" if they did it means that they are constipated... so it should look runny... as for the everywhere part- if it is leaking through the diaper, you may need to change brands... I hate to say it but sometimes for instance if your using store bought brands then they can sometimes not be as effective for that sort of thing... I discovered that the hard way with my son, when he peed through every single Pampers ever put on him... but given huggies he's never had a problem...

I would say everything sounds normal. My son is almost 3 months old and he only poops every 2-3 days (and yes, it's runny). I never had this problem with my other kids, but every child is different. We talked with the pediatrician and he said that it was perfectly normal for some babies to not go as often as others, as long as he isn't constipated or uncomfortable. But when in doubt - call the doctor.

Good luck, and congratulations!

This is perfectly normal. My son would only go once a week on Saturday like clockwork. Breastmilk is the best food for your baby and the body uses almost every bit of it because the milk is the best fuel for it. Therefore there are less "byproducts". The runniness and yellow color are also because it's breastmilk.

Rest assured, your son is perfect and doing what is normal for a little one getting the best nutrition for him.

It is normal...beleive it or not. Breastfed babys either seem to poop all the time...like mine did!! Or every few days. The runny yellow poop is normal. When he begins on solids in a few more months, it will change. If he is not experiencing painful gas you are fine.
Enjoy the fact that you are not changing a poopy every diaper or two! :)

Breast milk is why the consistency and the color, but you should talk to his Doctor about the frequency, that doesn't sound right. If he was getting enough he should be going at least once a day, my babies went more than once a day. And are you eating right? Remember breast feeding and pregnancy affect the baby the same, what you eat and drink while breast feeding, he is eating and drinking as well.

Yes!

"As your baby's intestines mature, he will probably poop less frequently. Try not to get hung up on your baby having "regular" bowel movements. It's worth repeating again: As long as he seems happy, he's pooping the number of times he needs to."

I breastfed for 15 months with my 1st and I'm pretty sure she went poo-poo every day or at the very least every other day. Check with the pediatrician.

NORMAL!

One of the benefits of breastfeeding. Er, the lack of frequency, not the "goes everywhere" aspect of the poopsplosions, I mean. OxyClean does a nice job on that, I find...
