YES! I was pissed off I watched from the very first episode .I loved it , it was different and exciting. Now I'm left wondering how all of the plots ended.

actually it was more a COST Cutting move than anything-
Passions had been LAST in the Ratings pretty much the Whole time it was on- Low ratings mean the show makes Little money for the network ( it doesn't Pay for itself)
So NBC cancelled the show and Direct TV chose to pick it up
TV is a For Profit Business- if a show doesn't make money than it is usually cancelled whether it's daytime or primetime
Now I watched Passions now and then and actually liked some of the early yrs but it just never quite found it's way.
It is way cheaper for NBC to extend the Today show- they don't have to pay any actors/writers or extra crew-it's always about the Money

Actually NBC got rid of Passions because they said the show had low ratings. I'm sure compared to all of the other soaps it would. They've only been on for about 8 years or so. Well you certainly aren't missing much. It's getting pretty drawn out. I usually just watch the Ethan-Teressa-Gwen story and fast-forward the rest. You are so right about the modern day Dark shadows. I used to love watching that show! I forgot all about that until now.

Nope... I was totally disgusted with NBC when they decided to cancel passions it was ridiculous that they added another hour of the today show... i even stopped watching it because it was moving and didn't see a point in watching since i wouldn't have been able to keep up with the story lines after the move...and now NBC is trying to compensate those of us still upset by the move by offering to air the shows for a subscription of 19.95 a month to catch up on the monday thru thursday episodes since they don't air on fridays but i think it's ridiculous.

I used to watch Passions, just for the comedy. But, they've been last in the ratings since the beginning. NBC pulled them so they could extend the "Today" show to 4 hours. At least DirecTV picked them up & they weren't cancelled all together!

Yes,Passions is no longer on NBC. It is now on Direct TV and I think Soap Net. They took it off NBC for low ratings.
And no I didn't like PAssions. And the reason why is because of the witch craft. I watched it once, but was never able to get into it.
Don't feel too bad, I hear that Days' contract on NBC is possibly not gonna renew in 2009.

I did - I watched almost every episode from 1999 on.
What else would you expect from GE? I don't even read about what is going on on the show. I watch Y&R now. I did send NBC a nasty email.

Kinda I miss watching it but it was getting redundant and I was going to stop watching it anyway . I just wish NBC would have given a better ending for all those that don't have DirecTV. ^_^ DJ

I'm glad it's not on regular TV anymore. I was getting tired of things never happening on the show and I heard that the stories are slower than ever on Direct TV. I was so happy when it was cancelled but disappointed that it was still continuing in some form, though they will be cancelled if it continues to drag.

I never watched Pasisons. I am a fan of OLTL. But I can feel your pain. I was equally upset when Susnset Beach and Port Charles were cancelled.
At least I can watch Port Charles reruns on SoapNet. i just wish they would show the series in it's entirety.
