im not 100% sure of the date of my last period, i think im 11 weeks, can the doctor tell excactly how far i am by a scan or just approximately?

The earlier they do the scan the more accurate it is. Mine picked up the exact day of conception at 7 weeks. (I knew because it was the only day within a 3 week period I had sex) and the scan was completely accurate to within a day. However, the farther you get, the more "off" the scans get because all babies grow at such different rates. Get one now and I am sure it will be accurate to within a couple of days of conception.

Just approximate since the baby will grow a little bit different in each person.

A sonogram is just an estimate it could be off by 2 weeks or so at most. But it will give you about how far along you are.

I think they can by the size of the baby, Don't worry all will work out the doc now adays are all well advanced now adays and best of luck

it can get very very close but is never exact, its just an estimation
