Just wanted to add 2 things:
1) I don't think the Pats are sending a message to the Colts...they are sending a message to the entire NFL that they don't need a camera to win games.
2) People say the Defense is weak. I don't believe that. I think because the Pats are up by 21 points by the 3rd quarter, it's hard for a defense not to relax. The score was 42-7 at halftime against Miami.
So if people think the Pats defense will not show up against the Colts, they are solely mistaken.

I agree about 1.) the trash talking; I know it would make me more want to prove myself, and 2.) the whining; that is an all-too human failing (and believe it or not athletes ARE human beings) when faced with something that is clearly superior.
But what we need to remember here is that the Patriots are 1.) a good team; the jury is still out as to whether or not they are the greatest, because they haven't really played anyone yet, and 2.) given many of the "breaks" because the NFL (not to mention the country; can you think of a better team that America - running a little low on patriotism at the moment - needs right now than the PATRIOTS?) WANTS them to win.
As for the former: This week against Washington MIGHT provide a challenge for them, but only because of Washington's D; certainly no team in the NFC can be considered a worthy opponent for New England, although Dallas came close.
As for the latter: Witness all of the times that New England is given plays and calls simply because they are New England. An example: In the Dallas game, Randy Moss CLEARLY creamed the man who was covering him on a pass that he would have had no chance of catching, and the ref calls pass interference AGAINST Dallas. I'm not saying that I that I think that that was THE turning point of the game, but it was A turning point. At best (or worst, depending on who you root for), that would have been an incomplete pass, and a third down stop for Dallas; at worst (or best), that would have been an INTERCEPTION for Dallas, had Randy Moss not interfered with his man. In either case, it would have been a momentum-changing play; New England only had a four point lead at that point, and a field goal there would have been almost fifty yards - hardly a "given" considering that their kicker is no longer Adam Vinatieri. And in ANY event, it would not have been the touchdown that resulted in an 11 point lead, and was the first nail in Dallas' coffin.
And, I do not believe that it is totally a coincidence that the PATRIOTS began to become a really good team just when this mess in the Middle East began.
Having said all that, I will try to answer your question: Looking at New England's schedule, I honestly do not think that there is any team that can stop them other than the Indianapolis Colts and the Pittsburgh Steelers (and possibly the New York Giants, but only because that is the last game on the schedule, and the playoffs may be at stake then - for the Giants, not the Patriots). As for the former, ever since Indy got a D to go along with their O, they could stop ANYBODY. As for the latter, I may be biased somewhat because I am a lifelong Steelers' fan, but I truly believe - and the stats back me on this - that not only could the Steelers' D stop the Patriots, but the O (with Ben Roethlisberger in the lead; witness how he brought them back in the fourth quarter against Denver) also has matured into a very solid unit.

the talent on their team is ridiculous, however the defense has not been challenged this year, i think that if any team has a chance it would be the colts. They could score right with brady and the patriots so i guess it comes down to will the defense be able to stay strong under their first pressure of the year.

Well, they've become so predictable that they are no longer any fun to watch unless you're a die hard fan. I'm not saying they should play worse, but I'm not going to bow down and worship them and jump ship on my team just because the Patsies haven't lost a game all season. Let's try to remember it's football, it's not going to change the world in any way. Tom Brady is a great player, but he's an average person, he won't do anything to change the world for the better. Shrugs, I'm sure I'll see plenty of thumbs down ratings, but I don't care what others think.

Colts defense is number 3 overall. If the DOLPHINS put up 28 on the pats defense, what do you think Peyton will do?
I see a fourth straight loss to the Colts on Nov. 4th

Please!!! These bozos are just waiting to get stuffed. Christ, you people act like it takes kryptonite to beat these "photogenic" wonders. They can get stomped on any given weekend. Wait till the injury bug bites them on the butt. Most of the other teams in the league have had to endure several major injuries to key players & still remain competitive. We'll see how well the Brady Bunch fairs when some big names have to miss a few games.

Can't say that I blame the Patriots, with everyone talking about the camera incident... talking trash, whining about the Patriots outscoring other teams..... etc... to the point of nausea..... they have a point to prove... that point being... they are a force to be reckoned with. Every time someone says they are not a good team, fires them up even more to prove to the rest of the world, that they are the real thing...
go Patriots !!!!!
