Sometimes, but if we separate we will be very vulnerable to attacks, and probably end up being ruled by another much worse nation.

No- unless the UN gets their way and they seize like 40% of US land for immigrants!

Oh and don't forget the North American Union- if that goes forward then America will never be the same again...

it's already happening - at least in the senate, where all states have equal representation regardless of their population.

if you look at a map of republican vs democratic senators, you will see that the republicans represent far less than 50% of the population, dare i say, less than 30% of the population.

this fraction of the population elected representatives who have essentially held the nation hostage in its own borders.

dems need to start to play hard ball with these guys.

they can start by refusing to even bring the president's request for more emergency funds to the floor for discussion, debate or a vote.
