HIre someone else to do it, but be prepared--it doesn't come cheap, even if you hire a kid to do it for you...they are savvy these days...

Those chores are exactly what you make of them. Raking leaves can be invigorating to be outside in the crisp air. Cleaning the kitchen keeps the bugs away and makes everyone appreciate the lovely dinner you prepare. Dishes are not so bad if they don't stack up before you attack them. Change your attitude and make lemonade out of these lemons!

I would rake leaves, clean the kitchen, and do the dishes. And the faster I did them, the sooner I could do what I wanted to do.

I would put on some really good music and do the chores as fast as I could so I could do something way better like go somewhere or watch tv.

well if no one cleaned the kitchen, it would look like a garbage pile, soon,
do you want to eat in a garbage pile? would you like to eat off dirty dishes, ?
as for the leaves, the wind can help on those, do your part, are you paying rent? do you want to live in a dump? have some pride in what you do, do you pay for your food,? bet not!

I guessing if you don't do your "retarded" chores, you might not be so bored when your parents get home and see you have done nothing all day.
