I would love to be an automotive mechanic but I will be a college graduate next year. Do you think I am selling myself short and not reaching my full potential? I want to do what I love, but I wonder if I can do more than that.

Do what makes you happy. I dont know what your degree is in but it you later decide that you dont want to be a mechanic, you can change fields. A good mechanic to me is worth as much as a good doctor and gets just as much respect for his skill.

I think if you want to be a mechanic, you should be a airplane mechanic. T hey make more money and it sounds a lot cooler when you tell people what you do,plus it sounds like you have to have a good education to do that...I hope :)
You can still do what you love, and not be selling yourself short.
