I have sacrificed a lot and would sacrifice more if I had to. I have already given up a close knit family of mine to move out of state with him so we could have a better life. I have given up work to stay at home with our kids. All of these were mutual decisions. As much as I love and miss all of my family I felt that I need to make the family that I have now more improtant than everything else. And I would do more for my husband and kids. When you truely love someone the things that you would do for them is endless.

A sacrifice is giving up something that usually has a short term gain for yourself for a long term gain for yourself and others. We can see that when a student sacrifices play time for study time they will bear the fruit of what they study. Those who are studying to be nurses & doctors are sacrificing self-gratifying time (tv, parties, social, and do-nothing time) for a greater salary, saving lives of others, and more love & gratitude from a greater portion of society.
Sacrifice's tame our temperal desires for a greater reward. So, what would I sacrifice for a "True Love" ... everything ... because the rate of return is more than I have to offer.

I have been married 3 times in my life and I was always the one to sacrifice to the other...
I sacrificed money, clothes, housing, jobs, medical and dental needs, food, and even family to do for and meet the needs of my mates...
It was never evenly returned and I always lost out...
I came up short on each one...
I always contributed more than they did...

how will you know first if it is true love?...
hmmm......sacrifice is one common sacred thing people do when they're in love. but you know what? they forget everything even themselves...
so if i were you, just give your best shot, do what makes your loved one happy w/o asking anything in return....but do not exceed the limitations of sacrificing even your own self...
