They are non-gender specific. Can you tell which is male and which is female? If so, you're watching way too closely. The purple one carries a case of some kind. It might be a purse. It might be a laptop.Your kids don't know or care.
That whole flap about the Teletubbies was fabricated by someone with a whole lot of extra time on his hands and an insatiable desire to mess with other people's minds. It's like the "satanic" messages you would get if you played rock records backwards. Whoever did that?
