You need to wait until you MISS your expected period to get an accurate hpt result. Even though many tests claim you can test up to 3 days ealry, the accuracy decreases...it usually lists this info on the test box.

Your hcg will be at a higher level after you have missed your period. I liked using the First Response test...also, pink dye tests showed up better for me than did the blue dye ones, like Clear Blue Easy.

Good luck.

Some pregnancy tests work better than others. I found this website: http://babyhopes.com/pregnancy-test-sensitivity.html
It give a list of different pregnancy tests and their accuracy.

I know how you feel though. I took a pregnancy test yesterday, I have all the symptoms. Now I have to wait a week to test again... its torture! I'm not a very patient person...

But I was told, by my doctor, that about 14 dpo was a good time to test. You won't get a negative from testing to early, and you won't get a positive on a possible miscarriage or something. Apparently 25% of all pregnancies end in miscarriage, and when you get an extremely sensitive hpt, you could find out your pregnant, and then still miscarry.

Good luck! I hope you get the answer you want!

You cant test, with any test, and get a proper result, until you are LATE FOR YOUR PERIOD. Its really not as complicated as women make it out to be. Your body is not in full swing production of hormones until you are late for your period. End of story.

All tests are using the same technology. Wait three days and test again. If you're sure youre pregnant and the results are still negtive, wait a while longer, buy a national brand test, or have your blood work done.
